Active Virus Shield (Kaspersky powered)

Pois bem, tive que usar um antivírus.
E desinstalei-o.

Thank you for trying Active Virus Shield. To help us make sure we are offering the best possible solution, we’d appreciate your feedback on why you chose to uninstall Active Virus Shield.

First of all, I don't use an antivirus.
I safely assume that the exclusive use of the Opera browser will keep me from harm of the internet viruses.
Secondly, I am behind gateway. There are no unrequested connections to my pc.
I use yahoo webmail, which has its own antivirus keeping me safe too.

I caught a virus while trying to watch an epsiode from some serie. The thing is, it was required to install 3wplayer to view it, and this program had some viruses (3 actually). I usually shy away from using programs I am not familiar with, but I really wanted to watch this episode. From now on, I'm holding my horses...
A friend who uses avast antivirus detected a trojan in this program and warned me, but the harm was done.

Knowing that kaspersky is the best antivirus available I downloaded it and installed it.
Along with the help of spybot (the virus at first wouldn't budge, but then it was reported as eliminated) I got rid of 3 viruses that all came from that program.
I had a good mind of leaving avs installed, but I wanted it deactivated, so I removed it from startup.
But after restarting my PC, I pressed ctrl+alt+del and was quite amazed at seeing a avs.exe running. I tried terminating it, but was unsuccessful (error popup saying the program could not be terminated). Maybe some kind of protection?
So I tried uninstalling, but still, couldn't... because it was necessary to terminate avs.exe, which, as mentioned, was not possible.

I restarted my PC in safe mode and moved the localization of avs.exe and then rebooted.
Finally, I was able to uninstall. Because avs.exe could not iniciate.
And it's not coming back, not at least till it works in a way that I have power over it, and not the other way around.

Still, I liked it, it was light, fast and not annoying like many other antiviruses. But I almost had to find an antivirus to remove this antivirus... so I am displeased.
Since I have been able to hold up 4 years without getting any viruses, I guess I'll be staying away from you guys or any other antivirus for a long time.
